Bio

Ken Jacobson has mentored, taught and tutored students in reading, writing, math and test preparation (among other subjects) for more than 20 years. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Grinnell College in 1988 and has since worked with a wide range of students with various learning styles and abilities. From 1991 to 1995, Ken taught and advocated for adolescents as Teacher/Educational Coordinator and Community Liaison for the National Center for Children and Families (NCCF) in Bethesda, Maryland. In 1995, he was honored as "Employee of the Year" in the Greentree Adolescent Program at NCCF.

Currently, Ken teaches the ISEE Test Preparation Class at The Town School on the Upper East Side in Manhattan. He also tutors students of both public and private schools, mostly in their homes and in school libraries. In addition to assisting students with their homework and in preparing for tests in school, Ken provides test preparation for students who are taking the New York State Regents Exams, ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, PSAT, SAT, SAT 2 Subject Tests, ACT and AP. Ken also offers guidance to students and their parents in the high school and college admissions process and works closely with students to develop and edit their application essays.
